Even if I had my suspicions all along, once you get on the other side of the Coastal Cavern, it all becomes evidently clear, very fast, that the entire map is just a repeating, copy/paste pattern of bandit camps, goblin camps, Merlin trials, treasure vaults and ancient magic hot spots. It was like a clear cut 'rupture' in immersion. that's when it hit me like a ton of bricks. When we come out the other side of the Coastal Cavern and discover the 'second half' of the map.

that is until one precise point in the game I would say. Everything was amazing and I was cruising along. The stunning castle that is Hogwarts, exploring the world on my broom for the first time, discovering the room of requirement and all its customization features, sneaking into bandit and goblin camps. I was wondering if anyone else had more or less the same experience I did when hitting about 75% of completion though.įor easily the first half of the game I would say, I was filled with wonder, awe and excitement.

Easily one of the best triple-A experiences (straight upon release) I've had in a while. I loved my experience with Hogwarts Legacy.
